i've made my perspective. All is ok. However when i want to open it

i_wb.getActiveWorkbenchWindow().getActivePage().openEditor(f ile);

how can i obtain a IWorkbenchPage if there isn't page soon opened.

ps1 : i work with eclipse 2.3
