Shape type stereotype icon in Papyrus 1.0.0 [message #1424281] Mon, 15 September 2014 15:13 Go to next message

I am testing the new icon functionality in Papyrus 1.0.0. I have a shape type icon for a stereotype defined like this:

index.php/fa/19129/0/

This stereotype is then applied to an element in another model, where the appearance settings look like:

index.php/fa/19130/0/

But there is no effect on the element, it still shows as a plain UML class.

Am I missing something? Thank you.

Hello again,

Please just let me know if this feature was indeed implemented in Papyrus 1.0.0 or not. Thank you,

Luís

Hi Luis,

The "shape" framework has been replaced with the new "symbols" framework in Luna. They are not fully compatible, but Shapes defined in profiles can still be used by the Symbols framework (Although profiled diagrams need to be updated). Please see the embedded Papyrus User Guide > Symbols documentation for details (As well as the CSS documentation for additional properties)

Camille

Hello everyone,

Finally, it is possible to define shapes/symbols for stereotypes, but not without issue. Half of the times I apply a stereotype with an icon defined Eclipse crashes; there is only this message to read in the command line:

[000:156] Computer model: Not available
Warning: NLS unused message: CustomIODPaletteFactory_createCallBehaviorActionAsInteractionCreationTool in: messages
java: /build/buildd/cairo-1.13.0~20140204/src/cairo-surface.c:953: cairo_surface_destroy: Assertion `((*&(&surface->ref_count)->ref_count) > 0)' failed.

When this happens the models in the project show up all screwed up and must be deleted. In certain occasions the whole project goes awry and must be deleted altogether. I have upgraded Papyrus to version 1.0.1 but these crashes remain.

Getting there but quite not there yet. I don't think this feature is mature enough to expose to users.

Regards.
