Hi there,
Tomcat 8.0.12 was released on August 29th, introducing full support for compression of websockets streams (http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-8.0-doc/changelog.html) which is very desirable, when is its integration into Virgo planned?

Hi,

Virgo still does not have integration with Tomcat 8.0.x.

However I'm going to back-port this change (and other changes connected with websocket impl) to Tomcat 7.0.x and it will be available most probably in 7.0.56. Then Tomcat committers have to vote 7.0.56 and if the vote is successful I will release it.
Once we have Tomcat 7.0.56 released I can introduce it in Virgo.
