Would it be possible to extract ContentAssist from the rest of the Eclipse platform and expose it as a web service so that it could provide at least basic code completion on live coding sites?

Example where it works for .NET is site dotnetfiddle.net which offers very powerful autocompletion.

If it would be possible could you outline what major steps would be needed to achieve it.

Best regards,
Mario
