Reporting documentation bugs/issues [message #1419674] Mon, 08 September 2014 20:34 Go to next message

Hi

I noticed that some documentation is out of date. However I find difficult to report the issues as creating bug reports is not a click away.

How is it supposed to work?

I found RedHat approach very good. At the end of each heading there is a link called "Report a bug". This link takes you to a new bugzilla ticket that is pre-filled with relevant context information such as product, component, and heading name. This approach is very convenient and encourages readers to report any issue found in documentation. For an example you can check: [https]access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/JBoss_Enterprise_BRMS_Platform/5/html-single/BRMS_User_Guide/index.html#Deploying_Snapshots

Dan

Hi Dan,

the link to the Stardust Bugzilla can be found on the project page: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Stardust

Based on your feedback I distinguished now two links, one for browsing the list of issues and one explict link for reporting an issue.

a) http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?query_format=specific&order=relevance+desc&bug_status=__open__&product=Stardust

b) https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Stardust

Best regards

Rob
