Embeded Fonts in 2.1.3 [message #250967] Thu, 02 August 2007 13:33 Go to next message

I'm currently trying to upgrade my Birt viewer deployment from version 2.1.1
to 2.1.3. In 2.1.1 I was able to successfully deploy embedded fonts by
including the custom .ttf files in the
org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.fonts/fonts directory. This worked for both
the report designer and the deployed viewer. With 2.1.3, the embedded font
feature does not appear to be working.

I have place the fonts in the org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.fonts/fonts
directory and also put them into the system fonts folder. Using just the
2.1.3 report designer, neither the report viewer nor the PDF emitter are
using the imbedded fonts.

Was there a change from 2.1.1 to 2.1.3 in how the embedded fonts work?

It seems that Version 2.1.1 was more forgiving with the fonts than 2.1.3.
The font I was using was and older font that needed to be updated in order
to work properly.
