Cannot add Report Items in Header by using multiple masterpage [message #249921] Thu, 26 July 2007 04:31 Go to next message

Hi,

i use two masterpages in my report(Birt 2.2), in which case i cannot add
any report item into the header in Master Page tab. even when i delete one
masterpage definition and add a item in the header, i still cannot see it
after it is added.

is it a bug in Birt 2.2?

regards

Hi Peng

I have tried your case in both 2.2.0 release build and latest build. I can
not reproduce your issue. Would you like to tell me your build version and
more detail information before you insert the report item into masterpage
header?

Best regards!

The list, table, chart and crosstab which has list of bindings are not
allowed to insert into masterpage header

Hello Tianli,

i found the reason. In myself defined .library i define two
masterpage(Landscape and protrait). when i try to reuse it in a .template
or a .design file, it does not allow to edit it, say adding report item to
it. in this case i can not reuse the predefined masterpage in .library.

solution: define masterpage in .template and reuse it in .design.

thanks for your feedback,

regards
