Barcode Fonts Support, Status? [message #249794] Wed, 25 July 2007 13:30 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I've looked through the newsgroup looking at the posts concerning
barcode fonts. I saw a post mentioning that barcode fonts should be
supported as of v2.1.0 RC4 due to this bugfix,
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=140666

But I'm still not able to use barcode fonts correctly.

I'm using the free barcode font "Free 3 of 9" from here
http://www.squaregear.net/fonts/free3of9.shtml
When I change a data field's font to "Free 3 of 9", I'm able to see it
at design time in BIRT Report Designer. But when I run the report,
either by deploying it to jboss or from the "View Report as ... " Menu,
the font reverts back to the default report font.

I am using BIRT 2.2 on JDK 1.5.0_12. When I deploy to Jboss, I'm using
the standard Report Viewer that comes with the Runtime.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Raishad

Could you open the design file with a text editor and make sure if the
font name was quoted or not? If not, feel free to reopen that
bug.Attach the design file is helpful as well.

Hey,Raishad!
I am sorry to hear your problem. I have met this kind of problem before. I wanna recommend you a good barcode generator from Onbarcode.com which contains various barcode font options with detailed tutorial. You may have a try in someday! good luck!Hope I helped!
