the SVN new project wizard is not recreating the project [message #24574] Sun, 06 July 2008 20:46 Go to next message

When I chose File->New->Project->SVN->Projects from SVN and I use an
existing repository and select a recource and then choose "Check Out As
a project with the name specified" and then specify the workspace
location, the files are checked out into the location specified, but
there is no project created.

I'm using Eclipse 3.4 on Centos 5, Subversive 2.0.1I20080612-1500

Hello Chris,

I tried to reproduce the problem but I can't. I have successfully checked
out the repository folder as the project and .project file is created. So
the folder becomes a valid Eclipse Platform project.
I checked this in both: Eclipse 3.3 and Eclipse 3.4 distributions.

Oops! There's a trap for young players.

When viewing projects in the Navigator view and you have an active
working set, you don't see any new projects until you either deselect
the active working set or edit the active working set to include the
newly created project.

Hi Chris,

Just for info, and if my memory serves, there's also an option to "add
to a working set" in the wizard when you create a project.

I used to overlook this option too, but since I'm working in a project
which consists of (currently) 4 Eclipse projects, I'm using working sets
a lot and it's pretty useful.

Best,
-John
