There is no 'installer' with birt, so I can't see what the issue is? The
..project file opens, as does the rptconfig file. Under the project menu,
both open project and close project are always disabled (not sure what
they looked like before I moved)
I get the same errors trying to open the report I created with the
tutorial.
Birt looks great, the tutorial well written, thanks.

Hi Michael
Have you tried to clean all the configuration in Eclipse and workspace?
1, Remove all the config files except config.ini in %Eclipse
Home%\configuration folder.
2, Remove all the .metadata folder in your workspace
3, Restart the eclipse and respecify the workspace direction
