Is something not working?

The resolve error is expected and *has to* happen because we only want
the "org.eclipse.fx.ide.java6" to resolve if you happen to run on JDK7
or even JDK6.

Well you don't have Mylyn installed so there's no suprise it does not
open. You need to post install Mylyn into the All-In-One-Download.

Oh, thanks, I installed Mylyn. and It works now Smile
I think unother error comes from missing emf tool, I'll try to install that as well.

But is there anything I can do to deal with "Could not resolve module:> org.eclipse.fx.ide.java6" error?
You told me that it is normal if I use JDK6 or 7, but I think mine uses Oracle java8 which I confirmed with 'java -version'.

It's the opposite. If you run on java8 the bundle does not resolve, if
you would run on jdk6/7 it would resolve and bring up a message box
telling you that e(fx)clipse is disabled because it requires java8.

I see. So I'm good Smile
But is there a way to suppress that warning? It is kinda annoying to see the error msg everytime I start the e(fx)clipse.

Not really - we could in future make it a single feature so that you can
uninstall it easily.

OK. I'll be patient and look forward for the new revision.

And one last question (Hope so Very Happy)
What module should I install to deal with
"platform:/plugin/org.eclipse.e4.tools.emf.ui/fragment.e4xmi" thing?

Thanks Smile

the e4 tooling should already be installed with the all-in-one package.

!ENTRY org.eclipse.e4.ui.workbench 1 0 2014-08-21 14:48:59.044
!MESSAGE Nothing to merge for "platform:/plugin/org.eclipse.e4.tools.emf.ui/fragment.e4xmi"

I do indeed located fragment.e4xmi at "org.eclipse.e4.tools.emf.ui_0.12.0.v20140728-1808.jar" file at the plug-ins folder.
It has a lot of elements nodes in it. Should I test all the elements nodes by manually erasing them one by one and see what is causing the error msg?

May I suggest (IF POSSIBLE) changing the message and type into something less alarming then? Like a "You're properly using Java 8" warning.
From an user PoV if any other error happens and you just see "FrameworkEvent ERROR" you might think it could be one of the reasons and would spend some time checking it.

And great job, btw.

I can not change this message it's from the Equinox-Resolver, we could
change to resolve always and do the checks once we are loaded. File a
bug and we'll try to look into this.

I created a bugzilla for the BundleException that occurs when using Java 8: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=462212
