how eclipse with -configuration parameter ??? [message #248327] Thu, 07 February 2008 23:59
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

Specifically, I need to integrate our RCP based product features /
bundles, TPTP, BIRT bundles with eclipse. Importantly, It needs to be done
with passing configuration at command line (-configuration eclipse command
line parameter) rather than using links files.

Now, our RCP product features Ids are subject to change with each of its
daily build – Id incorporates build no. --, and then I need to integrate
this latest product features and hence bundles with eclipse. For that I
have to have new platform.xml file which must be reflected with latest
product features’s Ids.

Does eclipse take care of generating new platform.xml once I replaced old
product directory with latest of its build – configuration changes --? OR
It must be done manually? Upon, what basis eclipse runtime pick-up
features and hence respective bundles – via platform.xml --during its
launching?

Thanks,
Chandresh Gandhi.
