New Category and Functions not visible in Expression Builder BIRT 4.3.1 [message #1406993]

Upgrading from BIRT 3.7.2 to BIRT 4.3.1. Making it necessary to upgrade the common functions written as a plugin for the Expression Builder. BIRT 4.3.1 is unable to see the original jar and Expression Builder Functions. There are a dozen or so complicated functions we rely heavily on for reports.

1. Used Kepler all-in-one and created a new workspace with the project files copied from the first workspace for BIRT 3.7.2. Compiled without errors.

2.When testing in the full version of Eclipse 4.3.1, where the functions were built, the functions can be seen in a test report when the expression builder is used.

3.After the jar is exported and copied to the plugins file of BIRT designer 4.3.1. Nothing is seen, no category and no functions and there are no error messages of any kind in the meta data of the 4.3.1 designer.

4. Just to see if I could get some sort an error I added the newer jar to BIT 3.7.2. I was able to see and run the functions complied in eclipse 4.3.1 in BIRT 3.7.2. ?!?

5. Currently running 32 Bit Java 1.6 and 1.5. Not sure what else to try. Thanks.

Additional information: If you cut/paste an expression from the expression builder calling a jar function into a report,although you cannot see the functions in the expression builder of the report and run the report on the server , the function call will return the correct data without error. This is a 4.3.1 report with the 4.3.1 Runtime using Apache 7.0
