Hi,

I'm currently reading the Eclipse rich client Platform book.
One of the first step I have to do is to install the samples manager.

After opening the software updates dialog, I enter the "eclipsercp.org"location and when I click OK install it, I have this error :
Quote:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: RCP Book Tools 2.0.0.201007162043 (org.eclipsercp.book.tools.feature.feature.group 2.0.0.201007162043)
Missing requirement: org.eclipsercp.book.tools 2.0.0.201007162043 (org.eclipsercp.book.tools 2.0.0.201007162043) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.update.ui 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: RCP Book Tools 2.0.0.201007162043 (org.eclipsercp.book.tools.feature.feature.group 2.0.0.201007162043)
To: org.eclipsercp.book.tools [2.0.0.201007162043]


I dont know what to do.
Someone could help me please ?

Try to install eclipse 3.7

It is not necessary to use older version of eclipse. I'm using version 4.5.1 and the plugin developed for this book works just fine. To run the installation you have to add update site for eclipse version 3.8 and the check that installation may check for dependencies in all update sites. That's it.

Thank you for kicking. More detailed:

1. Help->Install New Software...
2. Click Available Update sites link
3. Add http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.8
(extracted from https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Project_Update_Sites)
but install nothing
4. Go back to install and Add http://eclipsercp.org
5. Check if not checked Contact all update sites...
6. Select all and install

My actual version is RCP Mars 4.5.x
