Hello All,

Please i need assistance with how to connect Eclipse birt report to sql server.
Please i will really appreciate if any body can give a detail step by step approach on how to connect birt report from the report designer to sqlserver 2008r2 with all the necessary jay files. because all the videos i hv seen seem to be very vague and this process is-meant to be smooth.and after downloading the sqljdbc drivers am still getting this error

org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, Cannot open database "AdventureWorks2014" requested by the login. The login failed. ClientConnectionId:440a81e4-4c36-4edb-a5d8-dfce720075d4.

when i try to connect using this parameter:

jdbc:sqlserver://localhost\NEWSQLEXPRESS:1433;databaseName=AdventureWorks2014;

but when i try to connect using this one:

jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://BBT-SAS-PC:1433;databaseName=AdventureWorks2014;

I get the following error :

There is an error in get connection, I/O Error: SSO Failed: Native SSPI library not loaded. Check the java.library.path system property..

Please I will appreciate a very clear cut and understanding response as this is very urgent.

Thank you
