Hello,

i have a problem with exporting my application because i always get an exception raised, regarding the nattable repository

NOTE: i tried the downloaded .zip and the online repo. giving me both the same error
i opened the org.eclipse.nebula.widgets.nattable.core.feature_1.1.0.201405012245.jar file and found one pom inside:
META-INF\maven\org.eclipse.nebula.widgets.nattable\org.eclipse.nebula.widgets.nattable.core.feature\pom.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

but i cannot find its parent pom.xml

any ideas whats going wrong?
is it my mistake or is the repository missing something?

thanks in advance
Ludwig

Sorry, I don't understand what is doing wrong. We haven't changed the build since a while, despite updating the version.

I also don't understand the error, as it says that the pom.xml was removed. Are you building with m2e? Or what are you doing?

Yes i am using m2e.

i crated pom files for my application. I have a freatue which includes nattable and a lot of other plugins and features. This is exported into an update site. This update site is used when i build my own app features. Then this error message comes up. It is the only error and i cannot rrsolve it or ubderstand why it is raised at all...

On googling I saw some similar issues regarding m2e. Did you try to build from the command line?

Tycho is a Maven plugin out configure as dependency in your pom. So you can execute the Maven build from command line as usual.

finally i installed maven.
when i run m2e in debug on one of my features it ends with SUCCESS
the same feature with mvn from command line ends in error not resolving 'org.eclipse.equinox.security.win32.x86'
this jar IS included in my own updatesite (but seems to be ignored) therefore i added repository
<repository>
      <id>Eclipse Kepler UpdateSite</id>
      <layout>p2</layout>
      <url>http://download.eclipse.org/releases/kepler/</url>
    </repository>

this should be fine. but still does not find the jar! (m2e was able to locate it!)
so from cmd i do not even reach the problem, which i mentioned in the beginning of the thread. *frown*

just for completeness here is the Log from mvn clean install in my command line (on feature at.biooffice.feature)

So that means in is not a general issue with the NatTable update site but related to m2e?

Hm, typically an issue with the locations you build against. I prefer to build against a target platform rather than building against a repository. As in a repository you are not sure which versions are used.

Do you have a target platform and added it to your Maven Tycho build as such?

tried, but my target platform include an installation and directories/folders which are not supported by maven/tycho
thats why i build features, which include all needed plugins and create an local update site from it, which i then can access with tycho
is this bad?

well, if you have a local update site, why don't you build a target platform based on the local update site?

I don't think this is bad, but it sounds like there is an issue with the dependencies that needs to be solved.

Sorry, but I don't think I can help you at this point any further here.
