Hello,
I am newbie to Papyrus and ran into an unexpected behavior. I started out creating two lifelines; Papyrus automatically aligns them vertically, which is cool.

Then I try to create a message, running from one lifeline to the other. However, Pyparus seems to insist on connecting it to the head of the lifeline and shift the one on the right downward (see figure). Most sequence diagrams simply connect the lifelines.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

It looks like you're creating a "create message", which naturally
connects to the head of the target lifeline because it initiates that
lifeline (by virtue of creating the receiving object).

Perhaps you meant to create a synchronous or asynchronous message, instead?

HTH,

Christian

Thanks, Christian! It works for Async messages. That saves a ton of time/frustration. Smile
