Hi,

is these a concrete reason for the limited Gateway Directions support for Exclusive Gateways?

It seems that two from the four Directions are supported - Converging and Diverging. For the "Mixed" I get the message "Invalid Gateway direction for Exclusive Gateway. It should be "Converging" or "Diverging"". For "Unspecified" (which should be a supported value) I get: "Exclusive Gateway has missing or incomplete Gateway Direction".

Hi Krassimir,

Yes, you are correct - this validation constraint needs further investigation. Can you please file a bugzilla so we don't forget about this for a future release?

P.S. After re-reading section 10.5.1 of the BPMN 2.0 spec, it occurred to me that the editor should probably set the Gateway Direction bit based on the number of incoming & outgoing connections. Can you please add that suggestion to the bugzilla?
