Hi, I've just downloaded and installed Eclipse for the first time. I wrote a simple HelloWorld program to test the installation that uses a Scanner to get the users name then display "Hello (your name)". When I run the program it prints to the console "Enter you name: " but the cursor stays in the Editor pane where the code is written. You can use the mouse to navigate down to the console, enter your name and the program completes. It also leaves a 'ghosting' of the cursor in the code editor when you navigate down to the console. Using windows 8 64bit, JDK 64bit.
I've tested the code in Netbeans and the CMD prompt just to be sure and it runs fine.
