Currently we are using BIRT 4.2.1 and generated ppt file is not opening in MS Office 2013. Please reply how this will solve. What BIRT version we need to use and what are the necessary changes required. Embarrassed

does the report work in eclipse -> run -> view-report -> as PPT?

it's not generate like the above way . The report size is very big so it's given out of memory error. But the report generated properly by the java code by using BIRT 4.2 and it's open properly in MS Office 2003.

We need to open the same report in MS Office 2013. To do this we have changed the BIRT lib to 4.3.2 and try to generate the report in pptx format. it's generateing the report but it's not open in MS Office 2003 also.

please reply how to overcome this issue. The requirement is we have to open the same report ppt in MS Office 2013 in any format like ppt or pptx.

You said in your first post that you're outputting to PPT? Have you
tried PPTX from the designer yet? Office 2010 was added in 4.3
