Hi everybody,
I've volunteered to lead the discussion for defining a set of usecases for
the Resource Modeling sub-project. The usecases will be defined around the
development of tools for validating and editing SML documents.
I am planning to schedule a meeting early next week to discuss these
usecases.
If you are interested in contributing to this workgroup or just attending
the discussion please reply to this note with your availability for the
proposed time :
Proposed meeting time :
Monday, October 30,
10AM-11AM EST
11AM-12PM EST
1PM-2PM EST
2PM-3PM EST
We'll try to adjust the time ( and date if necessary ) depending on
everybody's availability,
I will be posting the meeting call-in information and proposed agenda on the
same thread
Valentina

The JAXP 1.3 jars are also available separately and work using J2SE 1.4
(classpath sometimes is your friend, other times your enemy). Not sure
about any of the other profiles.

In the use case document attached to this message
(news://news.eclipse.org:119/ei301u$c3o$1@utils.eclipse.org) we talk
about using JAXP 1.3. This is available in J2SE 5.0 (JDK 1.5).
Does this make the minimum requirement for COSMOS J2SE 1.5?
Do we think there will be use of the COSMOS framework on J2SE 1.4.x,
perhaps as a component deployed "along with"/"inside of" another
application?
What about support for JAXP in other JVM profiles, e.g. OSGi Foundation?
Do we think it likely that we would want to process SML-IF documents
in an environment with a smaller footprint?
Is J2SE a minimum requirement for RCP apps?
I started to capture a summary of these thoughts here...
