Hi everyone with JWT interests !

A wiki has been kindly set up by Florian Lautenbacher in order to enable
collaborative editing of the new JWT proposal. This wiki is available at
the following address :

http://pvs.informatik.uni-augsburg.de/phprojekt/addons/addon .php?addon=Wiki

What we want to do to the draft is described here (comments welcome) :
http://pvs.informatik.uni-augsburg.de/phprojekt/addons/addon .php?addon=Wiki&id=JwtProposalGuidelines

How to contribute :
In-text edition is allowed but deletion is not until reviewed. In order
to edit it, log in as the user "jwt" with the password "we_wam".
Individual login may be obtained on demand if required.

Proposal status :
Our goal right now is to get a good picture of everything that needs be
put in the two following weeks, in order to get it moving by the end of
the month. From now on there will be a weekly report on the evolution
and status of this draft. Everyone interested, please subscribe to the
JWT mailing list at
http://listes.forge.openwide.fr/mailman/listinfo/jwt-develop ers .

Right now there is a skeleton and some pieces of content (in addition to
the previous proposal draft) but whole parts still may need to be
overhauled - typically the architecture part has to be more detailed,
with EMF / GMF in mind. I strongly urge you not only to review the
available material and post comments, but also obviously to post any
contributions and suggestions you deem fit.

On a side note, there will be a BPM-themed meeting on the Objectweb site
next week that will be of interest.

Best regards
Marc Dutoo

JWT Proposal Authors,
The JWT proposal has been at Eclipse for over a year now and that's just
too long. This last news posting said that the revised proposal would be
completed by the end of September 2006. It's now the middle of November.
I also received an email that said the proposal would be done by the end
of October 2006. That also did not happen, thus I am assuming that the
proposal is not going to happen and will withdraw it from the Eclipse
website.

Should you be interested in reviving the Eclipse proposal/project,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

JST Proposal Authors,
After I posted my "no news = withdraw" post, Marc Dutoo contacted me and
explained that while the team hasn't been posting on the Eclipse
newsgroup or keeping the EMO informed of what is going on, you all have
been active and, in fact, are about to revive the proposal and make good
progress.

I'm extremely pleased to hear that and I hope to hear more about this in
the near term here in the eclipse.technology.jwt newsgroup and/or from
Marc who will send me a revised proposal to post.

Regards,
Bjorn
