Hello everybody,
I am starting with this subject of EMF+GMF in Eclipse for a project at University and I am completelly lost.
I have tried this example:
http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-GEF-EMF/gef-emf.html
but get lost when arriving at half the document, where some code is missing ('...' symbols).
Could anyone propose some examples (and provide the URLs) to start learning about this?
What about recommending the exact versions of Eclipse, EMF and GMF which work right together?.
Advices about this subject are welcome. :)
Thank you all.

Hi Rober,
If you want to start using GEF + EMF check this redbook:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg246302.html
I was using GEF 3.2 together with EMF 3.2 and it worked just fine.
regards,

Thank you for your answer.
I've tried out this example too:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/GMF_Tutorial
but the problem arrives at installing GMF ien this Eclipse Europa version. It reuires UML2.UML (I don't remember the version right now). I got the right version from the Inernet and put it into the plugins directory. Then I tried to install the way is told on the tutorial but it crashes (Error message) when installing GMF. The dependencies are installed correctly but the GMF itself doesn't.
Does anybody know what happens here?.

Thank you too, Jakub.
Which version of Eclipse did you use?.
I'd prefer start with tutorials rather than reading a full book but if that's the only way I, of course, will do. ;)
Thank you for your help.
Regards.
