Starting Ant in *new* VM / Eclipse 2.1 [message #227773] Tue, 13 April 2004 11:26
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

I've got some serious problems while running ant from my plugin:
At the moment I'm using the org.eclipse.ant.core.AntRunner to process a
build-script containing xdoclet tasks.
Due to a known memory-leak in xdoclet (or ant?) this works fine 4-5
times per eclipse instance before crashing with an OutOfMemory-Exception.

So I'm looking for a way to invoke ant/xdoclet in a seperate VM each
time. I heard that this should be possible in 3.0 - but I have to use
2.1 ....

Can anyone please tell me how this can be done? What do I have to
mention about classpaths, external Tasks (xdoclet), refresh etc. ... ?

Thanks in advance
- Florian
