[EMFStore] authentication and authorization [message #1328198] |

I resurrected the ESBrowser View. Good stuff. Now I'm trying to
understand how authentication and authorization for users, groups and
projects is supposed to work.
On the server I've configured users/passwords using the 'Simple property
file verification' user.properties file. But when I bring up the 'Manage
Users and Groups' dialog, I don't see those users. Also, when I create
users and/or change passwords through the UI, the users.properties file
does not change. If I remove the user.properties file and users are only
configured through the UI, then none of my users can log in, except 'super'.
Where are the users, groups and project permissions persisted when they
are configured through the UI. Should I expect changes made through the
UI to be reflected in the SPFV auth file? If LDAP is used instead of the
SPFV file, will changes made through the UI be reflected in LDAP?

No worries, I figured it out by tracing through the code. Using the
'model' authentication policy fixed my problem.
