Query with ShapeCompartmentEditPart - ConnectionRefreshMgr [message #226942]

Hello All

In my gmf project i have editparts with workarea.(comapartment)
when we add some figues and connect them with link and move them apart the
link disappears .ie. according to me bcoz of
ConnectionRefreshMgr.refreshConnections() which says

/**
* Class used to refresh the connections associated to the shape
* compartment's children. This implementation will hide all connections
* whose endpoints are not visible inside the shape compartment.
*/

Is there any specific purpose for which this implemented.

As i have a requirement where i want the connection to be visible even
when end-points are not visible in shape compartment. in user perspective
he will think that there are figures with connection.

Hope i am clear in the query.

please help
