Hi,

When I try to run eclipse 3.0.1 in Windows 2000, I obtain the next error.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory and
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/xml/sax/helpers/DefaultHandler. I have
xmlParserAPIs.jar in the classpath and in the same directory than
eclipse.exe and I don't find explanation why eclipse don't find those
classes.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

I also get this problem and I am using Eclipse v3.0.1 and JDK 1.4.2.
I have read FAQ 108 but it states that the above versions should be OK.

Any help would be appreciated.

My mistake, I had an older version of the jre in my PATH. Removed this and
the problem was resolved. Apologies.
