Hello,
My set up:
- web server (apache - linux), running sshd
- client on a separate machine with eclipse
I setup an http server in RSE using ssh and that works well.
I set up a static web project with index.html on the client
Asked eclipse to run index.html on the defined http server and I keep
getting the following message:
Could not replace with temp file
/home/rgeddes/workspace-ganymede/.metadata/.plugins/org.ecli pse.wst.server.core/tmp48874.html.
I think it's associated with the publishing process.
I'd like to be able "Run on Server" in 2 different ways:
1. the way described above
2. link to a file already on the server (I did this and got the same
error message)
Any suggestions, tutorials, or helpful hints that might help me?
I looked up the info in the Help pages and found this:
The folder that a static Web project is published to is modifiable, so
that when you set the publishing "root" value (called a context root)
I looked for where to change this in the properties of the file, folder,
project, and server, and I couldn't find it. Can you point me in the
right direction?
Thanks,
Richard
