I have just downloaded the new eclipse 3.3 for Linux (The one called
Eclipse IDE for Java Developers)

And it is working, but it's not reading the included eclipse.ini file.
This causes the problems that the std heap size is something like 12MB
and the max heap size is 64MB.

Does anyone know what can cause eclipse to ignore eclipse.ini?

Every single argument must be on a new line. Confirm this. I think
leading/trailing whitespaces may be a problem, also confirm this.

I found the problem. I had renamed my eclipse to eclipse.real and
then eclipse need the ini file to be called eclipse.real.ini insted of
eclipse.ini

I don't know if this is a feature or a bug, but renaming the eclipse
file did not cause this problem when I was running the eclipse3.3 RC3/4

Well it's working now.
