Hi there,

I installed subversive on a Linux Machine with the JavaHL connector.
Without the native JavaHL libraries, I get obviously an exception and
additionally the hint that I can install a *"pure Java connector"* from
the connector home page.

What is that pure Java connector and where can I get it? That would be
much more comfortable for beginners to install as there is no dependency
to some native library where you have to set the java.library.path
accordingly.

Cheers,
Hauke

Hi Hauke,
If you want to use pure java, you'll need the SVNKit connector. It's not
available from Eclipse.org due to licensing restrictions but you can
find it on this update site:

http://www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse /2.0/update-site/

Thanks! I tried that, but get a strange dependency problem for both the
SVNKit 1.1.7 and 1.2.0:

"Cannot complete the request. See the details.
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements
Match[requiredCapability:
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity .ui/[1.1.0.v200805310538,1.1.0.v200805310538]]. "

Is this a Subversive specific problem or some issue with the P2 update
utility?
