Hi,

we have now released EPF 1.0, and many of us that have worked on the release
are starting to breath again.. As we start to work on a new release, we
would love to see broader involvement. If you have an interest in getting
involved in the project, please let us know. Feel free to send me an e-mail
on pkroll@us.ibm.com, post a response to this note, or send a note to
epf-dev@eclipse.com (see right column of http://www.eclipse.org/epf/ for
instructions on how to sign up to the dev list). Note that we are expanding
the project to cover among others XP, Scrum, DSDM, Agile Modeling, and more.
We plan to expand OpenUP to also cover MDD, deployment, and many other
topics, We are expanding EPF Composer to include e.g. Wiki technology, so
there are a lot of exciting things to work on. And maybe you want to help us
in yet other technology / content areas.

Also, we continually have face-to-face meetings, and we would love to have
you join one of those. Next meetings are planned for:

North America:
Suggested Objectives: Establish a project plan for next release. Give an
opportunity for new project members to become integrated into the project
Suggested dates: Thu Nov 2 (all day) + Fri Nov 3 (half day)
Suggested location: Major airport, such as Chicago, Denver, Dallas, ...
Europe:
Suggested Objectives: Finetune project plan for next release. Give an
opportunity for new project members to become integrated into the project
Suggested dates: Thu Nov 9 (half day) + Fri Nov 10 (half day)
Suggested location: London, so we can recruit people from the Agile Business
Conference Mon - Thu that week.

Attending a meeting is a great way of of learning to know some peers in the
industry that share your interest for software best practices. If you want
to join any of the above meetings, please let me know asap.

If you cannot join these meetings, I hope you can attend a future meeting,
my guess is that we will have the next set of meetings after that in
January, but that is still TBD.

Cheers

Per Kroll
