save them somewhere in your model. ich you change the size of the
figure, the model should be invoked somewhere from a command to change
it's size. there you can save the old size in a field called
olderOldSize or somethink like this!

well i was thinking of doing smting same but i have seen when we do a
redo it gets back to previous state so there is some mechanism by which
gef takes care of previous state can we leverage that if possible....

this is part of commands, the have to redo and undo something. but in
the command you have access to the model, so you could get your values
from there.
