Dear,

Here is my problem. I did look into tutorials, the documentation and the
generated code, but I can't find an answer. Here is the problem:

Following the BPMN tutorial, I would like to have the following:
A diagram is made of pools. Inside a pool, we have a process, inside
process, we have tasks and transitions between them.

When I create a new Diagram, I directly create a pool with a process inside.
A pool EMF element is mapped to a Rectangle Figure containing a Label. I
also set up a Compartment so it can contains a Process. When I create a
Diagram in my application, I directly provide a fresh pool with a process
inside. The question is how can I make the process the size of the pool (or
of the pool's compartment)? I tried to setup a BorderLayout in the
generated PoolCompartementEditPart but it didn't work.

Find in attachment a sample of the application: the blue rectangle is the
process. I would like it to be exactly of the same size as its "parent"
(not sure it is the pool or the pool's compartment, I guess the latter).

Hello Pierre,

You have to modify .gmfgen model in this case. Try openning this file, locating
GenCompartment instance representing compartment inside a pool and setting
"isListLayout" property to true for this compartment. Note: due to the current
GMF limitation this property will always be re-set to "false" on upcomming
..gmfmap->.gmfgen model transformations, so you should take care on setting
this property to true in the end of each transformation.

Well this is not exactly what I would like (I tried your suggestion).
Actually, using a ListLayout make my Process having (approximately) the
same width of its compartment. I would like my process to be of exactly the
same size (width + height) as its containing compartment (i.e. the pool).

By the way, using a ListLayout make my process to be of half the heigth of
its compartment making Task additions rather strange.

The question is the following: with a compartment C having only one children
node N, how can I make N the exact size of C?

1. Is this possible without coding?
2. If code is required, which class should be changed? I looked into
PoolCompartmentFD, and ProcessFD (to find its parent size and to make it of
the same size but without success).

I think the rest is borders/insets and you have to set it for the Process
figure or compartment figure itself.
Unfortunately compartment is visualized by predefined figure (not by the
generated one from .gmfgraph) so you have to modify generated code to tune
it.

Do not know exact answer for this question – looks like you have to modify
generated code and change some Compartment figure/layout manager properties.

I doubt it is. I think you have to modify generated PoolCompartmentEditPart
and modify compartment figure created there.
