[Ant] New Ant version for Eclipse 3.0.0 [message #213919] Thu, 01 September 2005 05:15 Go to next message

Hi all,

Is it possible to keep using Eclipse 3.0.0, but update its Ant plugin to the
latest version 1.6.5? If so, how would I have to proceed? Rename
org.apache.ant_1.6.1 to org.apache.ant_1.6.5, copy all Ant libs, and update
plugin.xml to reference the libs correctly?

There is no need to change the plugin of Eclipse 3.0.0 to move to the latest
Ant...we designed the Eclipse Ant integration not to have hard dependencies
on the Ant plugin provided.

Set your global preferences to your external Ant 1.6.5 install:
Window>Preferences>Ant>Runtime>Classath>Ant Home...

This will do the work for you
