Xtext 2.5.0 missing from update site [message #1278829] Thu, 27 March 2014 18:45 Go to next message

Hi,

I just tried to rebuild an old SDK where I used Xtext 2.5.0 but it is
missing inside the repo at
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/tmf/xtext/updates/composite/releases/

There is only:
* 2.4.3
* 2.5.1

but the 2.5.0 one is missing. Why?

Tom

Hello Tom,
2.5.1 is a bugfix release, it the same as 2.5.0 but without bugs in it.

We try to keep the releases composite update site less overloaded and also do not propose a known buggy version to the users.

2.5.0 is still available it just not linked in the composite repository:

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the info. My concern was on Xbase which I'm using and this
sometimes gets broken even in bugfix releases and because the other
parts of the product are not regenerated & recompiled (it was shipped in
January) I tried to keep things as close to the former release but e.g.
with an Update-Platform from Kepler SR2.

I'll give 2.5.1 a shot and if this does not work I'll use the 2.5.0
version you pointed me too!

Thanks

Tom
