I am a relative newcomer to the Eclipse Framework and am trying to
understand how the Welcome Page is put together. I was also having
difficulty deciding where a question like this might go.
The key thing that I am trying to understand is where exactly the content
for the welcome page is stored. I can find all the xml and ccs files
relating to the display and intro extention however I can't find the actual
content.
The reason I want to know is so that I can add new Welcome page content such
as extra tutorials.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Michael,
First off thanks for your response.
Let me clarify exactly what I am trying to do. I would like to add
additional content to the existing Eclipse Welcome Screen and not create a
new one. I have been reading all about the plug-ins and PDE ways to create
a brand new welcome page however have been unable to completly understand
how to simply add content. I can see in the
eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.ui.intro.universal_3.2.1.R321_v2 0060905
directory of my install all the .xml and .css files which define the plug-in
and the layout, however I cannot find the actual content. Basically I would
like to add additional tutorial and sample items while keeping the existing
content as is. Perhaps there is something I am missing.
Thanks,
Chris
