Problems creating Web Services Client [message #211382] Mon, 31 March 2008 20:40 Go to next message

I'm having problems creating a Web Services Client from the plugin wizard.
I'm relatively new to web services and trying to figure out how to get
all the ducks in a row.

I've gone through the motions via the Axis2 Service Archiver to create the
aar file, deploy it and eventually get to the wsdl url the client needs.
The wizard seems to like the url, but the Service Definition validation
isn't happy. I get the following validation error:

src-resolve.4.2: Error resolving component'ns0:WSAppUser'. It was
detected that 'ns0:WSAppUser' is in namespace 'http://beans.xxx.com/xsd',
but components from this namespace are not referenceable from schema
document 'http://localhost/Axis2/services/App

Regardless, the Next button is active. When I click on it, the Axis2
Client Web Service Configuration dialog doesn't like something and the
default values are not pre-filled. This happens %99.99999 of the time,
and when it does kick in, there is no rhyme nor reason I can make sense of
why it decided to work.

I've done a lot of googling, and the above error resulted in a thread
discussing that multiple namespaces in the wsdl file would create
problems. I've hand hacked the wsdl file to make the validator happy, but
still ended up with an "empty" dialog after pressing Next. I guess I must
have scared it :) , because I just tried it again and it worked this time
-- wtf!

This is becoming a frustrating experience, and I've resorted to taking
baby steps by publishing one method at a time and meticulously going
through things to get the client. It's very time consuming and
ineffective.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Aloha,
Doug

I am having a similar problem, did anyone find a solution for this?

Basically I am creating a new web service using the wizard and everything
goes ok until I get to the "Axis2 Client Web Service Configuration" screen
where all the drop downs are empty. The funny thing is it worked ok in the
past, but obviously I have changed something in the project that the
wizard does not like but it does not give me any errors or warnings. Any
help wit this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Fernando,

Please open a bugzilla defect on the Webtools WTP Webservices product jst.ws
component. Please include detail configuration information (driver used,
operating system etc) and steps of how to reproduce the problem. Please
check if there's any entries in the .log files as well.

Thanks!

Kathy Chan
