My question: can I use as part of a development Mihini, Paho and MQTT/Mosquitto in a commercial solution?

I'm not sure they have a forum or will look at this forum. Perhaps it's
best ask on their mailing list

Thanks for the suggestion. As you mentioned I have also the impression they don't look (much) on these forums.
