problems with multiple dynamic emf models [message #209438] Fri, 24 October 2008 11:15 Go to next message

Hi,

As documented in the 2.1 N&N
( http://wiki.eclipse.org/GMF_New_and_Noteworthy#Dynamic_.28co de-less.29_EMF_models_for_domain)
I tried creating an editor for a dynamic EMF model. But I have some
problems:

1. To create the GMFGen it seems like I still need a GenModel. Can you
confirm this? Why is that necessary?

2. I have got multiple dynamic EMF models which together describe the
domain for the diagram editor. The generated MetaModelFacility only
seems to register the main model and doesn't contain accessors for the
referenced dynamic EMF models. Is this currently a limitation?

Thanks,

Hello Knut,

AFAIKSee, now it's necessary to have .genmodel. Currently .gmfgen model uses
EMF .genmode in many places, so to I suppose this is a separate task to make
these references optional and substitute them with references to .ecore file..
I think it was not done as a part of mentioned request.

Looks like. Can you submit a request for it?
