Eclipse Java 8 Release in March [message #1259485]

Hi

As far as I know Eclipse 4.3.2 will be released as of today. And as of the 18. March 2014 there will be an Eclipse Release including Java 8.

Will this release already be enough stable for wider usage or is it more like a Beta which is for try out and feedback?

The Beta phase is already in progress, see http://wiki.eclipse.org/JDT/Eclipse_Java_8_Support_%28BETA%29

So now is the best time to find out how our current builds work in your context. If you find and report any errors, we still have a chance to get them fixed before March 18, which is intended to be a "real" release. There may still be hickups, but that's unavoidable for this kind of an upgrade - ask the Oracle team Smile
