Subversive and Subclipse headless [message #19849] Sun, 15 June 2008 04:30
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,
In order to run Subversive and Subclipse headlessly with Buckminster,
some plug-ins are needed that has licenses that are incompatible with
the Eclipse IP rules. This means that the Buckminster headless support
cannot be distributed from Eclipse.org. We are not even permitted to
have an update site that redirects downloads to where such plug-ins can
be found.

I have asked both the Subversive and the Subclipse team to make headless
features available but at the time of writing, no such features exists
so we decided to maintain our own and distribute them from Cloudsmith.

The update site for the headless Buckminster support for Subversive and
Subclipse can be found at:
http://download.cloudsmith.com/buckminster/external where we provide the
two features:

org.eclipse.buckminster.subversive.headless.feature
org.eclipse.buckminster.subclipse.headless.feature

Please note that those features are mutually exclusive and not intended
to be installed into your IDE.

Kind Regards,
Thomas Hallgren
