Hi,
I am trying to brand my first plugin, but I can't find documentation for
doing this in version 2.1. (The Eclipse web-site has an article for branding
in version 1.0.)
I have been reading Shavor's book to try an understand what to do but:
(1) the book and examples were written for version 2.0 which does not do
branding in quite the same way as described in the book. For example, the
book makes references to entries on context-sensitive menus that do not
exist (and I am not smart enough to work out what to do instead.)
(2) the Eclipse 2.0 that comes on the CD does not run on my machine: I get a
dialog box entitled "Eclipse" with the message
JVM terminated. Exit code = 1
c:\Progra~1\Java\jre1.4.2_03\bin\java2.exe
.... (more lines about -cp, -os etc ) ...
-showsplash k:\eclipse 2.0\eclipse\eclips.exe -showsplash 600
Eclipse shows the splash screen and hangs.
Any pointers to step-by-step creation of branded plugins and/or help with
the above gratefully recieved.
