Plug-in Development Tutorial Broken [message #204565] Thu, 12 April 2007 19:00 Go to next message

I want to learn how to develop plugins in Eclipse. Successfully
downloaded/installed Eclipse, and then worked through the "Hello World
Application" and "Hello World SWT Application" without any problems.
Started working through the "Create an Eclipse plug-in" tutorial, but some
of the critical steps in the tutorial are missing text -- for example,
when I get to the "Define a view extension" step and expand it, the
instructions read "To define a view extension, perform the following
steps:" but then it is blank, i.e., there are no instructions. Same with
other expansions like "Add a view category", "Create a view class", etc.
What's wrong? Am I missing some files? I'll settle for a non-interactive
read-out of the steps. Thanks in advance for any help.

What version of Eclipse are you using?
