I've modified slightly the GEF Shapes RCP example and I'm having trouble getting it to run at all. It seems that it always tries to get the PreferenceStore from GEFPlugin and since it is always null it results in exceptions. Any idea how to get around this. My plugin.xml specifies my plugin class that inherits from AbstractUIPlugin.
