I've been using Eclipse on my Windows system for a while now with no
problems. However, when I moved to Linux, suddenly code that compiled just
fine before no longer compiles!
The problem happens anytime I use String.format or printf... Does anyone
know why this would happen? I'm guessing the Java SDK Eclipse is using is
not up to date... how can I check what version it's using?
Help is appreciated!

I'm guessing that you changed workspace preferences and you no longer have
Java 5 or higher as your default compiler compliance setting.
