I recently installed the Linux version of Eclipse for Parallel Application Developers (, and then used the Marketplace to install EGit. For some reason, the Marketplace always shows that an update is available, but when I hit the update button and click through the prompts, I get the following message:

Your original request has been modified.
No updates were found.
Unexpected Error. Could not process the request. Check the error log for details.

I actually completely removed my ~/.eclipse directory and reinstalled EGit from scratch, and it is now in the same state, so I don't think that it's anything that I did.

Is this expected behavior?
