I notice that the org.eclipse.tptp.platform.execution plug-in is not
included in the binary distribution (e.g. it is not in the plugins directory
in tptp.sdk-TPTP-4.0.0-200506061628.zip). As this plug-in contains the
interfaces that now seem to be the way for a java client to connect with the
AC (IAgentController, ICollector, IDataProcessor etc.), it seems to me this
plug-in should be in the binary distribution.

Also, I note that the .project file in the platform project is empty. This
means I have to manually configure the build each time I do a clean
check-out. I would guess that not everyone is going thru the long process
that I am going thru to get it to build, so was wondering how everyone else
is building the platform after a clean check-out.

Nigel,

The org.eclipse.tptp.platform.execution is a new and provisional (technology
preview) plug-in for TPTP Java Client API. This plugin is still under
development and targeted for 4.0 I4 release as provisional API so that users
can review and try it out. This new API is being developed as part of the
bigger effort of redesigning the Agent Controller. This is an enhancement of
the current Java client API (org.eclipse.hyades.execution plugin that is
being bundled with TPTP distribution) and will eventually replace the
current API in future releases of TPTP. Currently, no other TPTP plugin is
using this new plugin. The org.eclipse.tptp.platform.execution plugin is
still not being distributed with the TPTP package and we are in the process
of deciding the distribution method.

If you want to work with the current releases of the TPTP, you should be
looking at the following directories in the org.eclipse.hyades.execution
plugin.

src-core
src-local
src-remote

But if you are still interested in knowing more or reviewing the
org.eclipse.tptp.platform.execution plugin, I would be happy to provide more
information. Please let me know. Otherwise, I verified that the .project
file is not empty. Currently, we use the java perspective to build the
sources and it seems to be building fine. Please give more info on how you
are trying to build.

Thanks
Vishnu Naikawadi
