Hi all
Is there a way that I can take an XSD and generate JAVA classes that would
allow me to access the data within a corresponding XML document?
Also, given an XSD, can I have Eclipse generate a sample/dummy XML file?

Bort,
Yes, if you follow the tutorials in the EMF subproject
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/indextools.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E /emf-home/docs/clibmod/clibmod_main.html
you'll find that you can do an import from XML Schema as opposed to importing
from a Rose model. (If all goes well, later today there should be a new
tutorial avaiable that deals explicitly with generating from an XML Schema.)
There isn't a tool to generate instance files in Eclipse. WSAD has such a
tool Perhaps IBM's alphaworks has something like that as well. If you follow
the steps above to create an EMF model, you can also create a sample editor
and that sample editor will be able to create an instance file...
