Indexer Fails for Some but not All Projects [message #200104] Wed, 22 August 2007 15:17 Go to next message

Greetings:

I am just starting to use Eclipse for embedded "C" ARM
development. I have found that the F3 definition function works for
some but not all projects. I have selected the "Full C/C++ Indexer"
option and done the "right click/re-build index" operation for the
project in which the indexer fails.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Did you check the Error Log (Window > Show View > Other... > PDE Runtime

See also the thread 'indexer missing whole directories' in this
newsgroup for additional suggestions.

Greetings:

I found that by starting fresh by creating a new 'Standard Make C'
project and importing my source files that the indexer F3 function now
works OK. I had added directories to the original project which might
have been the root cause.

Thanks for the helpful tips!
