I have recently downloaded a plug-in. I used the Update Manager. It is
complaining that org.eclipse.jdt.ui etc. are not installed. I checked the
plug-in registry and they are there. Anyone have this problem?

I've heard of alot of problems with the update manager. But as long as the
plug in is in the plugin folder, you can import it and you should be fine.
I've never used the Update Manager and will avoid doing so as long as
possible.

There have been problems with the 2.x update manager, and there is a new
team working on this component in 3.0, to make things better.
One of the main issues is the fact that the update manager does not get used
during the actual release cycle, to flush out the bugs, and that is also
looked at. If you decide to use the update manager and find bugs or have a
need for some function please feel free to open a bugzilla report.

You may want to open a bug report and provide as much info as you can
(.config directory, what other features/plugins you have installed, etc.)

Were they at the right versions that the plugin expected? If you
downloaded a plugin that expect 2.1.2 org.eclipse.jdt.ui and tried to
install into an eclipse 3.0 JDT that error could occur.
